When I think about life, I think about love, joy, peace, pain, loss, hate, and everything in between. I like to think that the perfect mix of all these emotions, along with the events that accompany them are what is crucial to making life…well, life. And that life, is worth living. Every day, we interact with someone, whether it’s through a computer, a phone, or in person.
Hi, my name is Cornelius Thompson, and I am living a worthy life, and it all started with a fighter pilot jacket.
I am a gamer and movie enthusiast (yes, I even love the Star Wars Prequels).
My love for cinema started around age 5 for me. I used to love to watch the movie Top Gun. My mother bought my brother and me the fighter pilot jackets from the movie and we would wear them as often as we could. I still remember them and the way they smelled to this day.
I wanted to create movie scenes that imprint on the minds and imaginations of others. As I got older, the idea of what I wanted to imprint would evolve and change to different things, depending on what stage of life I was in (single, relationship, college, post-breakup) and those aspects of life often had one common thread: the interactions of everyday people and how they treat each other would give me everything I need to tell a compelling story. Gaming really helped open the door for me to find new stories and experience them through an interactive lens. Games such as Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 7 and 8, and Metal Gear Solid, showcased some of the best stories in gaming to this day.
I started my journey at Jones Junior College and journeyed through computer science and game design before I earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Southern Mississippi. Now, as a full-time student at Full Sail University, I am spreading my wings and preparing to take off with my career.
Everyday life is full of stories, opinions, and ideas. I want to introduce you to a new way of thinking about different things. I want to show you a more positive side of life in this negative world. I want to create a movement that will shine into the days ahead and forge a future for all of you that will allow you to appreciate life in all its aspects.
